On Saturday 7^th and Sunday 8^th November 2009 a contingent from Yamakwai Judo Club traveled to Dublin to compete in the Irish Open championships which were held at the City West Hotel conference centre, Dublin. This was the largest competition to be held in Ireland for a considerable time with over 460 competitors taking part from the far flung corners of Europe, including teams from Turkey, Russia, Germany, Norway, Sweden and France and strong teams from across the British Isles. There were quite a few Yamakwai members who lost in the narrowest of margins in their fight for bronze medals. A special congratulations to all our medal winners
